Make a lasting impact through the City’s Corporate Tree Planting program

Local businesses are invited to make a lasting impact on Vaughan’s environment by participating in the City’s Corporate Tree Planting program. This unique team-building opportunity allows you to work together to plant trees and help create a greener, healthier community for generations to come. 

Here’s how it works

Choose one of the available dates and bring your team together for a two-hour tree-planting event: 

• Tuesday, April 28 at Freedom Trail Park (121 Freedom Tr.)

• Tuesday, May 19 at Mackenzie Glen District Park (220 Cranston Park Ave.)

• Tuesday, June 2 at Saint-Jean de Brebeuf Park (172 Connie Cres.)

• Tuesday, Sept. 15 at North Maple Regional Park (11085 Keele St.)

• Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 316 Aviva Park Dr.

The fee to participate is $1,500, plus $75 per participant, which covers the trees you’ll plant and supports other local environmental stewardship initiatives, such as litter cleanups and tree-planting events. 

In return for your investment, the City will:

• plan and deliver a tree-planting event specifically for your group on one of the five pre-selected dates.

• provide all necessary training, support and safety needs for your event.

• supply all planting tools and materials, including trees, shovels and gloves.

• provide your company with a certificate of recognition.

• recognize your business on the program webpage.

Looking for more ways to give back to the community? Check out Green Guardians, the City’s environmental stewardship program that enhances awareness and encourages public participation in environmental initiatives throughout the city. 

There are many ways you can become a Green Guardian: 

• Participate in existing events and programs such as 20-Minute Makeover, Curb Appeal, tree and bench dedications, the Community Cleanup Program and tree plantings. 

• Create your own event. Consider organizing your own litter cleanup event in one of Vaughan’s parks, neighbourhoods, trails or open spaces. 

• Sponsor a City flower bed, pollinator bed or flowerpot through the Grow with Vaughan sponsorship program. Boost your brand visibility for one full year at a prime location. Don’t wait – registration for 2026 closes Tuesday, March 31!
