Emergency Planning
Emergencies can happen anywhere and at any time – often without warning. They may require you to evacuate or remain in place without essential services such as water, gas, electricity or phone service. Being prepared helps protect you, your family and your community.
Emergency Preparedness Week: May 4 to 9
Emergency Preparedness Week is a national initiative supported by Public Safety Canada and recognized annually during the first full week of May.
This year’s theme, Prepared Together, highlights the importance of collective readiness. From making a family emergency plan to checking in on neighbours, volunteering or partnering with local organizations, every action strengthens our community’s ability to respond and recover.
