How to become a Green Guardian
Participate in existing events
As a resident, community group, non-profit or business, you can choose to participate in events run by the City, including corporate and community tree planting events, gardening workshops, tree and bench dedications, and property recognition programs like Curb Appeal. Check out the current opportunities below:
Apply for a Corporate Tree Planting event
Enroll your business for a private tree planting event and do your part to enhance the local environment
Sign up for a Community Tree Planting event
Join us for a free family-friendly tree planting event and help grow Vaughan's urban forest
Nominate a property for Curb Appeal
Help recognize properties that demonstrate exceptional effort, creativity and beauty
Attend a Vaughan Gardeners workshop
Learn how to grow, preserve and protect your greenspace
Take action in your community
As a resident, community group, non-profit or business, you can create your own litter cleanup event in public spaces through the Community Cleanup Program, formalize your commitment to stewardship with Adopt-a-Park, or initiate a planting project on public land through the Community Planting Fund.
