Cooking Birthday Parties

Party packages include:

• 1 instructor and an assistant
• All necessary groceries and supplies for the themed menu
• 1 bottle of water or juice box (choice of apple or orange juice) per guest
• 3 helium-filled balloons for the guest of honour
• Electronic copies of the recipes emailed to the guest of honour
• Special takeaway for the guest of honour

Studio Stars Birthday Party

Party package includes:

• Total 2-hour private party experience
• Music Recording Studio:
  • 1 hour in a professional music recording studio
  • Studio reserved for up to 8 guests participating in the recording
  • Parents/guardians may take photos from the Console Room where the Technical Operator is stationed
  • 1 Technical Operator included to run and record the session
• Activity Room - Studio D:
  • 2 hours of access to the activity room (maximum capacity: 18 people)
  • A relaxed social space for guests while waiting or taking breaks
  • 1 Party Host included to guide guests and support transitions between spaces
  • Activity room includes tables and chairs (we do not provide any tablecloths or linens)
  • 1 shareable refrigerator and 1 shareable chest freezer within the service elevator storage room
  • No other kitchen amenities such as appliances, sinks, etc. are available for use
• Lyric sheets and recording tips provided to all participants
• Digital copy of the final track sent to the host after the event (for personal use only)
• We use Karaoke Version to download the selected song.
  • Song selection must be made in advance, and the track title must be sent to Vaughan Studios & Event Space staff one week before the party date.
  • Consider vocal range and difficulty when choosing a track to ensure an enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Please share the chosen song with your guests ahead of time so they can become familiar with it and get excited for the recording experience.

The Vaughan Studios & Event Space kitchen avoids the use of nuts however our facility is NOT an allergen- or nut-free environment. Please let us know if any of the children attending the party have any food allergies, sensitivities or restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate but we cannot guarantee that anything has not come into contact with an allergen.

To book your party, please call 905-303-2021 or send an email to VSES@vaughan.ca. Full payment is required to secure the booking. All cancellations must occur at least two weeks in advance of the event date. Less than two-week's notice will result in a penalty of 50% of the rental cost; less than one-week notice will result in 100% penalty of the rental fee. All refunds are subject to a $15 administration fee.

Insurance

A Certificate of Insurance is required for all bookings at City of Vaughan facilities and must be submitted before a rental contract can be finalized. For your convenience, our insurance provider offers the following premium quote:
 

• Insurance for the Activity Room (No Alcohol): $2.42 + tax per hour (2-hour duration)
• Insurance for the Music Recording Studio portion: $27.50 + tax for up to one (1) hour
• Total: $32.34 + tax
   

Note: You are welcome to use your own insurance provider instead. If you choose this option, we will send you the required parameters and will need a copy of the certificate in advance for review.

Parents/Guardians

Up to two adults (18+) are welcome to stay in the kitchen during the party. All other guests will be asked to wait in the main floor lobby pending other events on the floor.

Parking

Please note that free on-site parking is not available, as the building does not have a dedicated parking lot. However, there are several paid parking options nearby, including:

• Short-term street parking along the perimeter of the building. Payment can be made at the parking meters or via the designated parking app.
• TTC commuter lots located across from the bus terminal and subway station at the corner of Millway Avenue and Apple Mill Road.

Cooking Birthday Parties

No outside food or beverages are permitted for consumption during the party. Participants will consume the food they make. Exceptions are made for birthday cakes, which must be nut-free.

Studio Stars Birthday Party

Parents/guardians may bring refreshments, decorations, and party essentials. Certain adhesives permitted for décor, please speak with Vaughan Studios & Event Space staff for details

Cooking Birthday Parties

(Pizza Palooza, Fun Fiesta, Flour Power Baking Bash, Brunch Blast)

• Price: $433 per party
• Duration: 2 hours
• Capacity: Up to 12 guests (ages 7–15)
• Add-on: $37 per additional participant (maximum 16 total participants)

Studio Stars Birthday Party

• Price: $450 per party
• Duration: 2 hours
• Capacity: Up to 8 guests (ages 7+)

• While the music recording studio does contain instruments, the Studio Stars recording party is a karaoke-style experience where the kids will sing along to a music track - no instruments will be played during the session.
• Microphone and optional headphones used inside the recording booth.
• Sessions recorded by a Technical Operator using studio equipment.
• No specialized equipment is handled by children.
• Only reusable covered bottles or sealed water bottles may be kept by the recording studio door for sips between takes.
