Heritage Vaughan Committee

The Heritage Vaughan Committee is an Advisory Committee of Council for the City of Vaughan.

The Heritage Vaughan Committee does the following:

 

  • make recommendations to Council on the identification, conservation and preservation of Vaughan's cultural heritage properties
  • coordinate and convey community concerns regarding heritage conservation activities
  • review requests to change buildings and properties that are individually designated or located in Vaughan's Heritage Conservation Districts 
  • review the demolition request of heritage buildings which are identified on the Listing of Property of Architectural and Historical Significance.

 

The Heritage Vaughan Committee is appointed by Council every four years.  The Committee meets (virtually) on the third Wednesday of each month (July, August and December excluded).
