SmartParks
SmartParks is a new pilot program that aims to easily connect residents with City services and assist City staff in efficiently managing select parks through QR codes. These codes are located on select lamp posts near entrances or amenities and fencing by gateway entrances to sports facilities.
When residents visit one of the five locations piloting this new technology, they can simply scan the QR code with their phones to access amenity and facility bookings, report a problem or make a service request, or learn more about the pilot project.
The five pilot locations are:
- Chatfield District Park
- Dufferin District Park
- North Maple Regional Park
- North Thornhill Community Park
- Sonoma Heights District Park
Whether it’s using the codes to make a reservation at a favourite facility, report litter or learn more about a go-to park, SmartParks enables residents to access these City services quickly and easily.
