Community Tree Planting
The City’s Community Tree Planting program brings residents, community groups and local organizations together to plant trees in Vaughan’s greenspaces. By growing our urban forest together, the program helps create a healthier, more sustainable environment for generations to come.
The Community Tree Planting program provides community members with an opportunity to do their part to improve the environment, give back to their local community, get active, socialize and build employee engagement – outside and in person! All Community Tree Planting projects will support the City’s commitment to the York Region’s Greening Strategy and Canopy Targets and implement actions in Green Direction Vaughan.
By participating in the City’s Community Tree Planting program, you have the opportunity to be a Green Guardian of your city. Green Guardians is the City’s environmental sustainability program, where residents and businesses are encouraged to get involved with events and activities that promote environmental stewardship and keep Vaughan safe, clean and beautiful.
