Led Streetlight Retrofit Program
Operating the City of Vaughan’s streetlight network represents approximately 20 per cent of the City’s overall energy consumption.
The City is taking steps to reduce energy use and costs by changing approximately 25,000 streetlights from the current high pressure sodium to light-emitting diode (LED) technology through the City-wide LED Streetlight Retrofit Program. To learn more about this project visit the About the LED Streetlight Retrofit Program page.
This Green Infrastructure project was funded in part by Infrastructure Canada.
