Woodbridge GO Station Land Use Study
To assess the feasibility of adding a potential new GO Station in the area south of Kipling Avenue and Meeting House Road, the City of Vaughan is undertaking the Woodbridge GO Station Land Use Study.
The study will determine if a GO Station can physically fit and function in the study area, and whether a GO Station represents good planning in advancing provincial, regional, and City infrastructure and development objectives.

How can I get involved in this study?
The Draft Land Use Study and Draft OPA will be presented to Vaughan Council at the Tuesday, May 7 Statutory Public Meeting. All committee and council meetings are posted to vaughan.ca/CouncilMeetings.
A virtual Open House was held on Thursday, April 4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., thank you to everyone who attended.

Study area
The study area consists of approximately 22 hectares (55 acres) of land along Kipling Avenue in Vaughan’s Ward 2. This includes the lands from the Woodbridge Fairgrounds to the east of Kipling Avenue, employment lands and vacant lands to the west of Kipling Avenue, and the rail corridor from north to south. The study area may be extended if deemed appropriate.

The City is undertaking this study to determine the feasibility of adding a GO Station in the study area, located south of Kipling Avenue and Meeting House Road.
In May 2023, Vaughan Council approved an Interim Control By-law within the vicinity of the Kipling Avenue Corridor Secondary Plan area and provided direction to undertake the Woodbridge GO Station Land Use Study. The Interim Control By-law temporarily pauses development within the study area for a period up to one year, which ends on Thursday, May 16, 2024, with the possibility of an extension of up to one additional year.
