Rentals

For information regarding rental rates for contracts between January 2026 - August 2026, please refer to our Rate Card PDF.

All rates effective for contracts starting September, 1 2026 are outlined in the rate card below and are subject to change without advance notice. HST to be added to all fees. For more information email PlayhouseRentals@vaughan.ca.

Theatre Features

The daily base rental rate below includes the use of the following:

• Lobby
• Auditorium (386 seats, including 5 accessible)
• Loading dock
• Stage area (34.6’ wide X 35’ deep)
• Dressing rooms (4)
• Green room

Other things to note:

• Insurance certificate required ($5 million third-party liability)
• Theatre has a liquor license.
• Concessions may be available at theatres discretion.
• $1,000 non-refundable deposit required to confirm booking.
• Balance due 7 days after event.
• Total theatre capacity is 486 including no more than 100 performers backstage.

• Rentals longer then 5 hours require staff to have a 30 minutes unpaid meal break.
• Rentals are a 6-hour minimum.
• This rental rate includes 2 technicians, 1 audio technician and 1 lighting technician.

• All staff are on call for a 4 hour minimum.
• Front of House staff are required 1 hour prior to event start.

• Tickets may be sold at your discretion.
• Payment is required upon pickup.

The City Playhouse is well equipped to handle all your technical needs for your event, from corporate town hall meetings to large scale musical theatre shows.

With over 7000 watts of sound power with digital control and a mix of LED and conventional lighting, we are ready to help make your event a success.
