Honouring Our Past. Building Our Future.

Established in 2011 by former Mayor, Maurizio Bevilacqua, the Spirit of Generosity has raised millions of dollars to enhance the lives of many in Vaughan and beyond. All funds raised from the Mayor’s Gala and Mayor Steven Del Duca’s Annual Charity Golf Classic will be directed to the Spirit of Generosity, which continues its meaningful support of more than 200 not-for-profit and community organizations, including children and youth groups, health care initiatives, seniors’ organizations, and special needs programs.

Vaughan is an exceptional community and those of us who live here are rightly proud of all that has been achieved over the last number of years. From the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital to the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre to North Maple Regional Park, we are building a thriving, prosperous and dynamic city.

As our community continues to grow, and our residents and businesses continue to excel, it is crucial that we remember our history and draw upon important lessons learned to positively shape the next exciting chapter of Vaughan’s exceptional story.

To that end, the 2023 Mayor’s Gala will feature a well-earned tribute to Maurizio Bevilacqua, who served our community with distinction and integrity for 34 years, including 12 years as Mayor. As we come together to envision an even brighter future for Vaughan, we will have the chance to thank Maurizio for his leadership, his vision, and his achievements.

The 2023 Mayor’s Gala will be held on: Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Paramount EventSpace, located at 222 Rowntree Dairy Road in Vaughan.
