About Saigon Park
In 2024, Council passed a Member’s Resolution to name the new district park coming to the Rutherford Road and Highway 27 area, Saigon Park, to commemorate and celebrate Vaughan’s South Vietnamese community. While the park will contain some standard park elements, like sports fields or courts and a play area, a portion of the park will be dedicated to commemoration. As members of this community, your input and ideas are vital to shaping this area of the park! Let us know what you want to commemorate in Saigon Park and how you’d like to use this space.
Possible programming includes:
- soccer/multi-use field
- tennis and pickleball
- park pavilion
- junior and senior playgrounds
- picnic areas
- community gardens
- seating areas
