Join us today at 3 p.m. for a vigil and gathering to honour the victims in Iran

Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council invite you to a vigil and gathering in honour of the victims in Iran today, Saturday, Feb. 21, at 3 p.m. in the Vaughan City Hall Courtyard (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.).

Community members are encouraged to bring flowers or tealight candles in memory of the lives lost.

On Thursday, Jan. 29, the City raised the Iranian Lion and Sun flag outside Vaughan City Hall in solidarity with the Iranian community. On Saturday, Feb. 14, Mayor Steven Del Duca was the only Mayor to walk in the Global Day of Action in Toronto with the Iranian-Canadian community.
