Attend an Open House on April 15 to have a say

The Concord GO Centre area, located in Ward 4 and 5, is poised for transformation – and you can help inform it!

The City of Vaughan is advancing three studies – the Concord GO Centre Secondary Plan review, the Concord GO Centre Transportation Master Plan and the Concord GO Centre Storm Drainage Master Plan – to guide growth and infrastructure in the area around a potential future GO Station.

Learn more and get involved

To get involved in the work underway in the Concord GO Centre area and to learn more, attend the Open House on Wednesday, April 15. Here are the details:

  • Location: Dufferin Clark Community Centre (1441 Clark Ave. W.)
  • Time: Drop in any time from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Can’t attend in person? No problem. Materials from the Open House and online surveys will be available at vaughan.ca/ConcordGO from Wednesday, April 15 to Sunday, May 3.

Feedback collected will help shape the development of these studies.

About the studies

  • The Concord GO Centre Secondary Plan review will align with the Vaughan Official Plan 2025, respond to provincial legislative changes and guide ongoing and future development with updated policies and land uses. Once complete, it will provide updated policies for housing options, employment, transit, retail and public spaces that would support the development around a potential GO Station in Ward 4. The study area is generally bounded by Rivermede Road, Keele Street and Highway 407.
  • The Concord GO Centre Transportation Master Plan will make recommendations for a multi-modal transportation network. This includes developing street and active transportation networks, integrating regional and local transit, and addressing connectivity to the surrounding existing and planned networks to support the anticipated growth, in Ward 4. The study area is generally bounded by Rivermede Road, Keele Street and Highway 407.
  • The Concord GO Centre Storm Drainage Master Plan will provide a comprehensive assessment of flooding and drainage issues in its study area. It will evaluate potential solutions to reduce or mitigate flooding in the future. The study is being completed in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process to meet the requirements of a Schedule B project.
