QUOTE
“The people of Iran deserve democracy, women’s rights and a future that they can share in equally, strongly and proudly. A few weeks ago, the City of Vaughan flew the Iranian Lion and Sun flag at Vaughan City Hall as a symbol of support for these values. On Saturday, we will lay flowers and candles in the Courtyard in memory of the Iranians who have lost their lives during these mass murders. A community is defined by the way it works together and comes together, especially in times of conflict and uncertainty. Vaughan continues to stand in solidarity with Iranians here at home and around the world, supporting their hopes for a free, secular and democratic Iran. The Iranian-Canadian community can continue to count on me as an ally as we work towards a free Iran.”
- Mayor Steven Del Duca
