Improving Highway 7 to keep you moving
Attend an Open House on June 25 to learn more
The City of Vaughan is taking action to reduce traffic congestion and keep residents moving with ease. As part of this commitment, the City is undertaking a study to improve Highway 7, from the Rainbow Creek Bridge (west of Kipling Avenue) to Wigwoss Drive/Helen Street.
The study will look at widening Highway 7 to six lanes, while providing room for two additional
Bus Rapid Transit lanes in the future. As part of the reconstruction of Highway 7, new pedestrian and cycling facilities will also be added.
The project is one of the critical transportation initiatives in the Vaughan Council-approved Nine-Point Action Plan to Fight Traffic Gridlock, which came forward as a Member’s Resolution by Mayor Steven Del Duca.
