Concord GO Centre Storm Drainage Master Plan
The Concord GO Centre is a major transit and development project in Vaughan. Several planning studies – including the Concord GO Centre Storm Drainage Master Plan, the Concord GO Centre Secondary Plan and the Concord GO Centre Transportation Master Plan – will support a potential GO Station in the area north of Highway 7 and east of Bowes Road.
About the study
The City has started a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment for the Concord GO Centre Storm Drainage Master Plan. The study covers the Concord GO Secondary Plan area, the Major Transit Station Area and surrounding drainage areas. It will assess current drainage conditions, update the flood hazard limits and identify options to reduce or eliminate flooding. Possible solutions include upgrading or retrofitting existing stormwater facilities and adding or improving drainage infrastructure where needed.
Get involved
Your input is a key part of this study. The City will work with stakeholders to understand concerns, share information and explore ways to assess and improve drainage in the area. Two public engagements will be held during this study – check back for updates!

The process
The study will be conducted and completed in accordance with the Municipal Engineers Association's "Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (February 2024)," covering Phases 1 and 2, and will follow Approach #2 of the Master Planning process. This approach involves undertaking the Concord Go Centre Storm Drainage Master Plan, with detailed assessment work, satisfying the requirements of Schedule 'B' projects.
