On Saturday, Sept. 20, members of the community joined Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council at the Vaughan Culture Days kickoff event at Carrville Community Centre.

The event recognized and celebrated arts, culture and heritage. Festivities included greetings from Mayor Del Duca, entertainment – including music and dance performances, arts and cultural workshops – and so much more.

“I was pleased to join residents of all ages at Carrville Community Centre – our newest state-of-the-art facility – for the Vaughan Culture Days kickoff event,” said Mayor Steven Del Duca. “It was a truly special occasion to celebrate our city’s vibrant arts and culture scene – something Vaughan has a long and proud history of supporting. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy a fun-filled day of activities, music and dance performances, and much more. But the fun is just getting started! Now until Sunday, Oct. 12, take part in more than 60 City-led and community Culture Days events that reflect the diverse traditions and customs of our residents. This is an experience you won’t want to miss!”
