Vaughan Culture Days
Culture Days is a nationwide celebration of arts, culture and heritage, and the City of Vaughan invites you to be part of this vibrant three-week festival, exploring a diverse range of events and activities that highlight the creativity and spirit of our community.
This year's Culture Days will take place from September 18 to October 4.

Expression of Interest
The City of Vaughan invites artists, creators, community groups, profit and non-profit organizations, and schools to submit proposals to host free and hands-on public events during Culture Days in a variety of different disciplines, including, but not limited to visual art, dance, theatre, music, heritage, architecture, design, culinary arts, craft, and storytelling from September 18 to October 4, 2026.

• Take place within the specified Ontario Culture Days dates - September 18 to October 4, 2026
• Be registered at www.culturedays.ca by Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
• In-person or virtual participation.
• Inclusion of arts, culture, or heritage aspects.
• Should be a hands-on, participatory, behind-the-scenes nature.
• Support low barriers to access arts and culture programming.
• Free for attendees or pay-what-you-may.
• Fair compensation for artists.
• Promotion of accessibility, inclusive, and diverse programming. -

1. What is Culture Days?
Culture Days is a three-week national celebration of arts and culture, held between September and October.2. What is the City of Vaughan’s role?
As a Festival Hub, our role is to support your vision.
We help with:
Selecting a city-owned location if needed- Connecting you with other community groups
- Discovering tools to help you coordinate set-up and logistics for your event
- Promoting the event during the three-week Festival
3. What is your role?
You design and deliver the experience, from concept to setup and execution.
You’re also responsible for actively promoting your event. While you’ll receive support through the Culture Days online hub, strong promotion through your own channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and more) is strongly encouraged to boost attendance.4. Where would your event take place?
Your event can be hosted at:
• A City of Vaughan community centre
• A third-party location, subject to venue availabilityFinal city-led locations are confirmed in consultation with City staff.
5. How do you sign up to host?
Complete the Expression of Interest Form by June 1st, 2026.
A City of Vaughan staff member will follow up with you.
