Vaughan’s going to ‘Leave the Door Open’ for the launch of Concerts in the Park

Come ‘Just the Way You Are’ to the City of Vaughan’s 32nd annual Vaughan Celebrates Concerts in the Park series, kicking off with Bruno Mars Experience: Tribute to Bruno Mars on Wednesday, June 17 at Transit Square (100 New Park Pl.) in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.

 

Join us for six FREE concerts, presented by TD and event sponsor Tim Hortons, on select Wednesdays from June 17 to Aug. 5, weather permitting, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

 

This year’s lineup features professional entertainment for all ages with genres like pop, oldies and rock. 

 

Here is the full schedule:

  • Wednesday, June 17: Bruno Mars Experience: Tribute to Bruno Mars at Transit Square, located at 100 New Park Pl. in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre
  • Wednesday, June 24 (Ward 5): Beach Boys Party: Tribute to the Beach Boys at Dufferin District Park, located at 1441 Clark Ave. W.
  • Wednesday, July 8 (Ward 3): Taylor’s Story: Tribute to Taylor Swift at Chancellor District Park, located at 430 Chancellor Dr. 
  • Wednesday, July 22 (Ward 4): Gold Dust Woman: Tribute to Stevie Nicks at Carrville District Park, located at 266 Valley Vista Dr.  
  • Wednesday, July 29 (Ward 2): Still Rock’n Roll: Tribute to Billy Joel at Sonoma Heights Community Park, located at 100 Sunset Ridge
  • Wednesday, Aug. 5 (Ward 1): Who Are You: Tribute to The Who at Mackenzie Glen District Park, located at 220 Cranston Park Ave.

 

Accessible parking (limited), pathways and washrooms will be available at each concert location. Parking details for concert locations are available online, including information about park-and-walk options. Refreshments will be available on site for purchase.
