Enjoy FREE shuttle service to and from Vaughan’s Canada Day celebration!

Buses will run every 30 minutes to North Maple Regional Park 

 

Are you coming to the City of Vaughan’s Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day event on Wednesday, July 1? If so, leave the driving to us! 

 

Since there is no on-site parking available at North Maple Regional Park (NMRP), we’ve made the commute easy! Take advantage of our FREE shuttle service to get to and from the event comfortably from the following locations: 

 

  • Maple Community Centre (10190 Keele St.) 

  • St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School (1 St. Joan of Arc Ave.)

  • Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) 

  • VMC Library (100 Apple Mill Rd., near the VMC Library) *paid parking

 

On Wednesday, July 1, shuttles to NMRP will run approximately every 30 minutes from noon to 8 p.m. The final pickup to go to NMRP will be at 6 p.m. 

 

All shuttle locations will have an accessible York Region Transit bus available.

 

City staff and directional signage will be at each pickup/drop-off location to help guide you.

 

Additionally, you can park and walk from St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Elementary School (131 Ravineview Dr.); however, there are limited parking spots available at this location.

 

The City’s Canada Day event has an exciting lineup of FREE entertainment and activities all day long, including headline performances by JUNO award-winners Rêve at 6 p.m. and Maestro Fresh Wes at 5:10 p.m.

 

Stage entertainment will start at 1 p.m., followed by an official welcome from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council at 5 p.m.

 

This year’s exciting entertainment includes:

  • Rȇve
  • Maestro Fresh Wes
  • The Springcreek Dancers
  • Fireside Munsch Stories
  • Neel Dani
  • The Eyrie: Birds of Prey
  • Project Phoenix

 

There will also be many free activities for people of all ages to enjoy, including:

  • arts, crafts and interactive activities 
  • axe throwing (for ages 18 years and older) 
  • free giveaways (while supplies last)
  • glitter tattoos and colouring murals
  • gym bus and sensory bus
  • midway rides and an inflatable slide
  • ping-pong and foosball tables 
  • recreation activities
  • sports games
  • stilt walkers and strolling entertainment
