Vaughan braves the cold in true Canadian fashion at Winterfest celebration
On Feb. 7 and Feb. 8, the community bundled up and braved the cold at the City of Vaughan’s 36th annual, award-winning Vaughan Celebrates Winterfest.
“Bringing people together is at the heart of what we do in Vaughan, and Winterfest remains one of the most cherished traditions we have,” said Mayor Steven Del Duca. “I was excited to see a great turnout as the Vaughan community came out to Vellore Village Community Centre, both inside and outside, with their families to enjoy everything we had to offer at this year’s celebration – despite the cold! I want to express my thanks to the many teams across the organization for putting on yet another fantastic, high-quality event for the people of Vaughan.”
Winterfest featured two days filled with a variety of live entertainment and performances, indoor and outdoor activities, midway rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, an ice throne selfie station, a complimentary pancake breakfast and so much more.
