Celebrate National Engineering Month at Vaughan City Hall

Discover how engineers shape our city on March 25

Ever wondered what it takes to be an engineer and bring projects to life in our community? Celebrate National Engineering Month with the City of Vaughan at a special Open House on Wednesday, March 25, at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.).

Hosted by the City’s Planning and Infrastructure Development portfolio, the Open House runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Vaughan Room and offers a behind-the-scenes look at the people, projects and innovations helping to shape our city.

Here’s what you can expect at the event:

Meet the City’s engineers

Chat with City engineers and learn about the projects they lead across Vaughan, the diverse career paths in engineering and the important role engineers play in building strong, sustainable communities. The event will also highlight women’s contributions to the field – and yes, there will be snacks, swag and prizes!

Bridge breaking competition

Join us at 11:30 a.m. for the Bring a Bridge competition, an exciting bridge building challenge open to high school students from across Vaughan. The team with the strongest bridge will win a prize and the coveted title of Vaughan’s Best (Popsicle Stick) Bridge Builder, 2026!
