Enjoy FREE shuttle service to and from Vaughan’s Canada Day celebration!
Buses will run frequently to North Maple Regional Park
Are you coming to the City’s Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day event on Tuesday, July 1? If so, leave the driving to us!
Since there is no on-site parking available at North Maple Regional Park (NMRP), we’ve made the commute easy! Take advantage of our FREE shuttle service to get to and from the event comfortably from the following locations:
- Carrville Community Centre (655 Thomas Cook Ave.) – north parking lot (south lot is closed for construction)
- Maple Community Centre (10190 Keele St.)
- St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School (1 St. Joan of Arc Ave.)
- Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.)
- Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) library (200 Apple Mill Rd.) *paid parking
On Tuesday, July 1, shuttles to NMRP will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The final return shuttle will leave the park as early as 4 p.m. Bus schedule times for each location are posted online at vaughan.ca/CanadaDay. Please note times are approximate and may change.
Note, all shuttle locations will have an accessible YRT bus available.
There will be City staff and directional signage at the pickup/drop-off points to help guide you.
Additionally, you can park-and-walk from St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Elementary School (131 Ravineview Dr.), however, there are limited parking spots available.
The City’s Canada Day event has an exciting lineup of FREE entertainment and activities all day long, including opening act by Kiesza and a headline performance by JUNO award winner Preston Pablo at 3 p.m.!
Stage entertainment will start at 10 a.m. followed by an official welcome from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council at 12:15 p.m.
Additional entertainment and festivities include:
- arts, crafts and interactive activities
- axe throwing (for ages 18 years and older)
- free giveaways (while supplies last)
- glitter tattoos
- gym bus and sensory bus
- hockey circus show
- midway rides and an inflatable slide
- musical performances
- ping-pong tables
- recreation activities
- stilt walkers and strolling entertainment
