Celebrate the Year of the Horse in Vaughan!
The City of Vaughan’s annual Lunar New Year celebration returns on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.).
So, mark your calendars and come join us for this year’s event, which will include remarks from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council, exciting entertainment, vibrant dance performances, a traditional lion dance, red pocket giveaways, complimentary refreshments and much more.
Lunar New Year is one of the most elaborate, colourful and important observances for the Asian community. It is about ushering in luck and prosperity, celebrating the previous year and welcoming the new one.
In 2026, we celebrate the Year of the Horse, which symbolizes energy, confidence and vitality.
