Recreation Services is hiring for the fall!

Get paid to do what you’re good at! If you’re an ice skater, hockey player, sports superstar, science wiz or artist – you have a teachable skill. The City of Vaughan is hiring part-time Recreation Program Instructors to work at Vaughan community centres for our fall programming, which kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 23.

Interested? You’re invited to attend a virtual hiring event in August for positions at community centres across the city, or one of four in-person hiring events being held for positions at the newly re-opened Garnet A. Williams Community Centre.

Upcycle with Curbside Giveaway Days this weekend

Do you have old or unwanted household items that are still in good condition, such as clothes, books, kitchen gadgets or children’s toys? If so, don’t throw them away – place them at the curb this weekend (Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30) for the City of Vaughan’s Curbside Giveaway Days! Upcycle gently used items by putting them curbside for your neighbours to come and take, free of charge. Then, visit others who are participating and explore what they’re giving away.
