streets, paths and sidewalks, the City’s crews strive to ensure everyone can

Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca
issued the following statement after a candlelight vigil at City Hall honouring
victims of the Dec. 18 shooting at a Vaughan condominium building:
“I was shocked and horrified to learn about the unspeakable tragedy in our community, which claimed the lives of five people and left another in serious condition.

Candlelight vigil for the victims of the condo shooting
The community and members of the media are invited to attend the City of
Vaughan’s candlelight vigil on
Wednesday, Dec. 21 for the victims of the condo shootings that occurred in the
area of Jane Street and Rutherford Road earlier this week.
Accidental Water Leak Adjustment
The City’s Accidental Water Leak Adjustment Policy (PDF) provides one-time financial support for residents, residential tenants who are Alectra Utilities account holders and non-profit organizations who have experienced an unintentional water leak due to failed plumbing, such as a leaky toilet or faucet.
