Vaughan’s Canada Day celebration was one to remember!

On July 1, residents and visitors gathered at North Maple Regional Park (11085 Keele St.) to celebrate Canada’s 158th birthday and enjoy a full day of free entertainment, activities and fun!

“There’s truly no better way to celebrate our great country than with good music, delicious food and lot of laughter shared between friends, family and neighbours,” said Mayor Steven Del Duca.

“Every year, it’s truly something special to see so many of you come together as one big community on Canada Day. This annual celebration is just one of the ways the City of Vaughan continues to foster an active, engaged, creative and culturally vibrant community. I want to extend my gratitude to the Recreation Services department for putting on another successful event. I hope all residents and visitors continue to take part in the many other exciting events happening throughout Vaughan this summer.”

This year’s Canada Day celebration featured greetings from Mayor Del Duca and Members of Council, an opening act by Kiesza, headline performance by JUNO award winner Preston Pablo, various activities, giveaways, food trucks and so much more.
