Road closure: Martin Grove Road, from Harris Crescent/Raymond Road to Auburn Road/Andrew Park
Starting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 24 until Oct. 27 at 5 a.m.
The City of Vaughan is committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability of municipal infrastructure – this includes culvert replacements.
To safely complete a culvert replacement on Martin Grove Road, there will be a full road closure in the section between Harris Crescent/Raymond Road to Auburn Road/Andrew Park starting on Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. until Monday, Oct. 27 at 5 a.m.
Here are the answers to some questions you may have about the project:
Why is this section of Martin Grove being closed?
A closure is required in this area to safely complete the next phase of the culvert replacement, on the west side of Martin Grove Road.
What is a culvert?
Culverts are designed to convey the natural flow of stream water under roadways.
When will construction be over?
The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of November. A second road closure will be required on Saturday, Nov. 22 and Sunday, Nov. 23. More information about this closure will be available soon.
Will access be maintained for residents and local traffic?
Yes. Local traffic will be permitted. The closure does not impact any driveways. Information about detour routes will be available at vaughan.ca/InfrastructureProjects.
How can I stay informed about the project?
Updates about the project will be available at vaughan.ca/InfrastructureProjects. If you have any questions, you may contact the City’s Infrastructure Delivery department via email at Infrastructure.Delivery@vaughan.ca.
