Nominations are open for Vaughan’s Volunteer Recognition Awards!

Do you know someone who made a meaningful contribution to the community in 2025? Now’s your chance to shine a light on their efforts by nominating them for the City of Vaughan’s Volunteer Recognition Awards!
The City is calling on Vaughan-based non-profit organizations and community groups to put forward one outstanding volunteer whose passion and actions have made a distinct positive impact on the community last year.
Nominations will be accepted until Monday, March 30. To submit a nomination, visit vaughan.ca/VolunteerAwards.
Here are the nomination criteria:
- Only one volunteer may be nominated from each organization.
- No joint submissions.
- The nominator must be a member on the governing board of the organization submitting the nomination.
- Volunteers may not nominate themselves.
- The volunteer may not be in receipt of any direct or indirect compensation from the organization.
- The nominee or the nominating organization must be located in Vaughan.
- The organization must support Vaughan in some capacity.
This year, the City will honour the outstanding volunteers of 2025 at a special ceremony at Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.) on Wednesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. During the event, recipients will receive a certificate and lapel pin from Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council.
