Coming soon: New improvements at Alexander Elisa Park
Good news for Ward 2 – exciting improvements are planned for Alexander Elisa Park!
On June 18, Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council gathered to mark this exciting milestone. Located at 199 Tall Grass Trail, this well-loved neighbourhood park is being upgraded to bring new amenities and fresh public spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy.
As part of the planned work, the existing bocce courts will be removed to make way for modern, family-friendly features that reflect the evolving needs of the community.
Key enhancements include:
- a new splashpad, offering a fun and refreshing water play area for children.
- new pathways to improve accessibility and connectivity throughout the park and surrounding neighbourhood.
- a shade structure to provide comfort and protection from the sun.
- updated site furnishings such as seating.
These improvements are designed to create a more inclusive, accessible and vibrant park that supports active living and community connection. Construction will begin this year and the park will be ready for play next fall.
