Pollinators are vital to maintaining healthy, biodiverse ecosystems. Birds, bees, butterflies, bats and beetles sustain the environment through pollination, and trees are an essential part of their habitats.

You’re invited to join the City of Vaughan, in partnership with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, to celebrate National Pollinator Week at a free community tree planting event on Saturday, June 20 at North Maple Regional Park (11085 Keele St.) from 10 a.m. to noon.

This is a family-friendly event – no tree-planting experience required! A safety demonstration will be conducted before planting begins, and the City will provide shovels, gloves and light refreshments for volunteers. Space is limited, so register now to confirm your attendance.

This event will be held rain or shine. It will also require outdoor physical activity, so please dress comfortably, bring your own closed-toe footwear and a reusable water bottle.
