Take your kids’ love for reading outdoors this summer –  StoryWalk is back by popular demand! You can find seven children’s stories brought to life along local parks and trails throughout Vaughan.

Presented by Vaughan Public Libraries (VPL) and the City of Vaughan’s Public Works team, each story unfolds one step at a time. This interactive, one-of-a-kind reading experience is the perfect opportunity to get active outdoors with your family and friends in a place where books come to life beneath the open sky.

Locations and books include:

  • Lawford Park (300 Lawford Rd.): Poem in my Pocket by Chris Tougas

  • Mackenzie Glen District Park (220 Cranston Park Ave.): Truckin’ by Nancy Hundal

  • Marita Payne Park (16 Jason St.): The Last Last by Wendy J. Whittingham

  • Nort Johnson District Park (7800 Islington Ave.): The Perfect Paper Airplane by Robert Munsch

  • Sugarbush Heritage Park (91 Thornhill Woods Dr.): If You Want to Be a Butterfly by Muon Thi Van

This exciting global initiative promotes literacy, health and exercise in communities around the world.
