Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service through developing, implementing and evaluating a safe, enjoyable and diversified recreational/length swim program in consultation with the aquatic staff.
- Ensure the pool operates in accordance with all regulations.
- Assist with staff training.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Attend all scheduled orientation and training sessions and obtain additional related certifications as required (i.e. aquatic specialty certifications).
Qualifications and requirements
Current holder of Standard First Aid/CPR-C issued within 3 years.
Current holder of National Lifeguard certification.
Must be at least 15 years of age.
Prepared to work flexible hours involving evenings and weekend shifts.
Police Vulnerable Sector Check to be obtained upon offer of employment – results must be presented prior to employment start date
Must maintain certifications on an ongoing basis.
