Santafest Parade

The City of Vaughan is excited to bring back a beloved holiday tradition this year - the Santafest Parade!

 

This festive event will feature holiday-themed floats, marching bands, entertainers, and of course – a visit from Santa Claus himself!

 

Santafest is more than a parade – it’s a chance to connect with the community, spread holiday cheer, and proudly showcase your brand to thousands of local residents. Whether you choose to join the procession with a creative float or support the event as a sponsor, your involvement will help make this celebration truly magical.

Participants - what is needed before the deadline of Monday, November 3, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. (noon)

 

1. A Certificate of Insurance naming the "Corporation of the City of Vaughan", the "The Regional Municipality of York", and “Canada’s Wonderland” as an additional insured – use the City’s template

 

    If you are unable to get a Certificate of Insurance, email santafest@vaughan.ca to find out how to purchase one-day event     insurance.

 

2. Entries require an entry fee of $400 - With exception of schools belonging to York Regional Public, York Regional Catholic and Separate School Boards or Community Marching Bands. These groups will receive a bursary to participate.

 

     Registered non-profit organizations entry fee is $100

 

    *Instructions on how to make the entry fee payment will be provided after the Entry Registration Form has been received

  • Intersection of Springside Road & Melville Avenue

 

Route:

  • North on Melville Avenue
  • East on Major Mackenzie Drive
  • Conclude at Vaughan City Hall

Free parking will be available at the designated lot areas near the parade route. These locations offer convenient access for attendees to park and enjoy the parade from nearby viewing spots. Please refer to the parking lot list below:

 

  • Blessed Trinity Catholic Elementary School Parking lot
  • Joseph A. Gibson Public School Parking lot
  • Maple Community Centre Parking lot
  • Maple High School Parking lot
  • Michael Cranny Elementary School Parking lot
  • St. David Catholic Elementary School Parking lot

The Santafest Parade Sponsorship Program offers many sponsorship opportunities. Depending on the sponsorship level chosen, your company can receive logo recognition in our marketing materials.

 

Each year our sponsors are recognized at a Sponsor Appreciation Event hosted by the Mayor and Members of Council.

Volunteer with Us: Santafest 2025

 

The City of Vaughan is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our Santafest Parade on November 29!

 

These events wouldn’t be possible without the help of dedicated volunteers like you. If you're interested in being part of the excitement, we invite you to apply by completing the Volunteer Application Form.

 

Volunteer Notes:

  • Volunteer positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis—so don’t wait!
  • High school students: Volunteer hours will count toward your community service requirement.

 

Volunteer Duties Include:

  • Assisting with event prep
  • Greeting and guiding attendees
  • Walking in the parade and supporting participants
    And more!

 

The deadline to apply is November 3rd at 12:00 p.m. (noon)
