As part of the City of Vaughan’s Woodbridge Avenue Improvements and Streetscaping Project - which is now complete as of 2023 - the focus was on beautifying the area, respecting its history and completing key underground infrastructure work.
An extensive review of the infrastructure on Woodbridge Avenue was undertaken in 2020 to prioritize what needed to be completed, and in what order, including:

In March and September 2021, residents were invited to attend virtual Public Information Sessions to learn more about the project, view maps and schedules, and ask questions about the proposed improvements, traffic impacts and access to properties within the area.
Woodbridge Avenue is a commercial and residential area located in the heart of Woodbridge Village. The Woodbridge Avenue corridor and the surrounding area have been rapidly changing in the last decade with high-density development, including residential and mixed-use buildings, resulting in the growth of a larger urbanized area.
