Concord West Urban Design Framework + Streetscape Plan
Purpose:
The purpose of the Concord West Urban Design Streetscape Plan is to provide an Urban Design Framework, Streetscape Plan, and Phasing/ Implementation Plan for the Concord West Community.
The study will support Vaughan and York Region Official Plan objectives and be coordinated with the community, Regional vivaNext bus rapid transitway planned for Highway 7, and the York Region "Class Environmental Assessment Study for Keele Street from Steeles Avenue to Rutherford Road".
City-Wide Streetscape Implementation Manual and Financial Strategy
Purpose
The Vaughan City-Wide Streetscape Implementation Manual and Financial Strategy is the first edition of an integrated design / financial framework to manage the design, construction, maintenance, costing and funding for new streetscapes within emerging Intensification Areas and established Heritage Conservation Districts.
Centre Street Urban Design Guidelines + Streetscape Plan
Purpose:
The purpose of the Centre Street Urban Design Streetscape Plan is to provide design guidance and standards applicable to the public realm and new development along the Centre Street corridor study area.

Carrville District Centre Urban Design Guidelines + Streetscape Plan
Purpose:
The purpose of the Carrville District Centre Urban Design Streetscape Master Plan Study was to prepare Urban Design Guidelines and Detailed Streetscape Master Plans to guide future development in accordance with the Urban Design policies of the Carrville District Plan OPA 651. This study establishes the layout and detailed design of the public and private streetscape spaces, pedestrian and bicycle connections, public amenities and open spaces, as well as criteria for building locations, forms, heights and massing in relation to the public realm.
Tree Planting

The City of Vaughan is partnering with Local Enhancement and Appreciation of Forests (LEAF), a not-for-profit organization, to deliver a pilot program to grow Vaughan's tree canopy. The LEAF's Backyard Tree Planting program, you can access expert advice and planting services to ensure your future trees thrive for years to come.
Vaughan Urban Design Awards
The awards reflect the community’s commitment to quality and innovation in city building.
Every five years, the City of Vaughan invites urban designers, architects, landscape architects, planners, engineers, developers, contractors, landowners and the general public to submit projects for consideration for the Vaughan Urban Design Awards. Submissions were accepted from May to September 2022.
Since the inception of the Vaughan Urban Design Awards in 2008, 36 projects have been awarded.

Some residents may prefer not to wait for the City to replace the tree on the City-owned boulevard in front of their property or may want a larger tree.
