We’re recruiting a member for the Audit Committee

Are you passionate about accountability and good governance? The City of Vaughan is looking for one member to serve on the Audit Committee.
In this role, you will help Council in the discharge of governance, accountability and controllership responsibilities by ensuring risks are being appropriately addressed through strong governance, a risk/control and compliance framework, appropriate stewardship and an effective internal audit activity.
To qualify, you must be:
- a Canadian citizen and 18 years of age or older.
- a Vaughan resident or a Vaughan-based property owner or business representative.
- not employed by the municipality.
- a certified internal auditor or possess an accounting designation.

The Director of Internal Audit will review all the applications and develop a short-list of prospective candidates who will be contacted to attend an interview. After the interviews, the new member will be appointed by Vaughan Council.
