Vaughan recognized nationally for transforming digital service delivery
The City of Vaughan has earned national recognition for its digital leadership, receiving a 2026 Granicus Digital Government Award for transforming how residents and businesses access municipal services.
This honour highlights Vaughan’s success in modernizing service delivery, automating processes and making it easier and faster for the public to connect with the City.
This achievement was celebrated by Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council during a special ceremonial presentation at the June 2 Committee of the Whole (1) meeting.
The City’s Office of the Chief Information Officer has modernized its permitting and application processes by integrating AMANDA with ProjectDox and related systems through the Service Vaughan portal. By transforming a previous manual multi-step workflow into a streamlined digital system, intake times for receiving permits have been reduced from approximately 10 days to two days, while also improving efficiency, data quality and transparency.
