As students are heading back to the classroom, it is never too early to prepare for their days off from school. Get a jump on the season and sign your kids up for our December Break camps! Check out the Fall Recreation eGuide to view all the cool and exciting camps the City of Vaughan has to offer and register online at vaughan.ca/camps
December Break camps run daily at select community centres and Vaughan Studios & Event Space from Monday, Dec. 22, 2025 through Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with flexible drop-off and pickup available from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (except on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 31 when camp ends at noon). Camps are not offered on Thursday, Dec. 25, Friday, Dec. 26 or Thursday, Jan. 1.
Choose from a wide variety of camps, including creative and culinary arts, sports, animation, aquatics and more! Here are a few highlights:
- Aquasquirts (for ages four to six years old)
Young swimmers gain confidence in the water and build basic swimming skills through aquatic activities, including water safety, games and relay races. Outside the pool, campers stay active with arts and crafts, singalongs, co-operative games and sports.
- Winter Adventures: Junior (for ages four to six years old) and Senior (for ages seven to 12 years old)
Campers will enjoy arts and crafts, sports, games, outdoor recreational skating (weather permitting), special guests and much more!
- Stop Motion Animation: LEGO® Studio (for ages seven to 12 years old)
In partnership with Film Camp in a Box, campers bring LEGO and clay to life through stop-motion animation. With help from industry pros, campers create sets, write scripts and edit their own short films, all leading up to a red-carpet film festival premiere.
- Kids a Cookin’ (for ages seven to 12 years old)
Campers can try their hand at making meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack time. Spend part of the day working in the kitchen, then have fun doing special events, creating arts and crafts, and playing sports and games. New recipes will be made each day.
