Improvements coming to select parks in Thornhill!
Take the survey by June 22 to have a say
The City of Vaughan is planning exciting enhancements to three parks in the Thornhill community – Langstaff School Park, Riverside Park and Thornhill Park – and we want to hear from you!
As part of the development at 8188 Yonge St., funding has been allocated to enhance these well-loved Ward 5 neighbourhood parks, and you’re invited to help shape what comes next. Plans in place for each location aim to enhance or add new amenities, comfort and play opportunities for the community.
Here’s what’s planned:
- Langstaff School Park (2001 Langstaff Rd.): Enhanced community gathering space with additional seating to better accommodate residents and visitors.
- Riverside Park (2 Riverside Blvd.): Enhancements to the playground area, along with the addition of a new shade structure to improve comfort and usability.
- Thornhill Park (26 Old Yonge St.): A new outdoor fitness area to expand recreational opportunities.
Complete the online survey by Monday, June 22 to learn more and share your feedback. Your input will help inform the design and planning of these park improvements and ensure they reflect the needs and priorities of the community. Construction will begin in 2027 and is anticipated to be completed in 2028.
