Get your game on at Vaughan’s first cricket field
You’re invited to the grand opening TONIGHT at 7 p.m. at North Maple Regional Park
Cricket fans – it’s time to grab your wickets and lace up your spikes! The City is officially opening Vaughan’s first-ever cricket field at North Maple Regional Park (NMRP) TONIGHT – and you’re invited to come mark the occasion!
Whether you’re a seasoned player or a fan of the game, come be part of this milestone moment for Vaughan’s growing cricket community.
Join the celebrations with Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council starting at 7 p.m. at NMRP, located at 11085 Keele St. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a DJ and FREE ice cream!
Please note there is limited on-site parking – you’re encouraged to take the FREE shuttle bus from Vaughan City Hall (2141 Major Mackenzie Dr.). The bus will run every 15 minutes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. City staff will be at City Hall to help direct you to the shuttle pick-up location.
The new cricket field will be ready for permitting this month, and features:
- three artificial turf wicket areas
- batting cages
- a digital scoreboard
- spectator areas with bleachers
- and more!
