Are you on the list?

It’s not too early to check if you’re on the voters’ list for this year’s municipal election

Elections for municipal governments and school boards in Ontario are held every four years on the fourth Monday of October – and the next one is coming up on Monday, Oct. 26.

Although that’s still many months away, it’s never too early to check if you’re on the voters’ list by visiting registertovoteon.ca

Eligible voters for municipal elections must be:

  • a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old; and
  • a resident of the municipality; OR
  • a non-resident who owns or rents property in the municipality; OR
  • the spouse of an owner or tenant of property in the municipality.

Not on the voters list but eligible to vote in the 2026 municipal election? Visit registertovoteon.ca to get registered.
