Prepare your pipes for frosty weather!
As the winter season approaches, it’s important to prepare your home water system for the cold weather to come. Extremely cold temperatures or fluctuations between warm and cold temperatures can cause household pipes to freeze, burst or leak. The City of Vaughan is encouraging residents to monitor outdoor water equipment before the temperature hits below freezing and throughout the winter to ensure leaks are caught as soon as possible.

Parking plan for Kleinburg Village
Vaughan’s Kleinburg Village is known for its historic charm, lush parks and green spaces, variety of shopping and dining opportunities as well as venues and tourist attractions that include schools, libraries and art galleries. As its popularity grows, so, too, does the demand for parking. The City of Vaughan has recently completed the Kleinburg Parking Strategy Study (PDF) to help address these parking needs.

Ringing in the holiday season
Spreading holiday cheer for all to hear! Today, the City of Vaughan kicked off its 11th annual Toy Drive in support of the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish, which will run until Friday, Dec. 11. This morning, Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua appeared on CP24 Breakfast to participate in the launch.

Help transform Glen Shields Park
The City of Vaughan is preparing to redevelop Glen Shields Park to revitalize this community gathering place for current and future generations to enjoy. Your input is needed! Citizens are encouraged to join the conversation that is shaping the future of this park by attending a virtual Public Information Session on Thursday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. Register at vaughan.ca/GlenShields to hear project updates and provide feedback on proposed park facilities and amenity options.
