Vaughan honoured with 2025 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award
The City of Vaughan’s Procurement Services team has once again been recognized for its commitment to maximizing taxpayer value, outstanding procurement practices and dedication to efficiency and transparency!
Recently, the team was awarded the 2025 Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Procurement Institute. This is the eighth consecutive year the City has received this award. This achievement was celebrated by Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council during a special ceremonial presentation at the Nov. 4 Committee of the Whole (1) meeting.
The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award is earned by organizations that demonstrate excellence by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria. The criteria are designed to measure innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement and leadership attributes of the procurement organization.
The City’s Procurement Services team provides goods, services, capital construction projects and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner, using processes that reflect the highest values of integrity, accountability and responsibility. The City uses best practices to guarantee fiscal sustainability and credibility while safeguarding investments for the high-quality public services on which residents, visitors and businesses rely.
