Green Guardians

Green Guardians is Vaughan’s environmental stewardship program – and the City is encouraging residents and businesses to get involved!

As a Green Guardian of Vaughan, you can join City-led or community-driven events and activities that promote environmental stewardship and help keep Vaughan safe, clean and beautiful.

How to become a Green Guardian

Participate in existing events

As a community member, non-profit or business, you can choose to participate in events run by the City, including community cleanups like the 20-Minute Makeover, tree and bench dedications, tree planting events, and property recognition programs like Curb Appeal. Learn more below.

Create your own event

As a community member, non-profit or business, consider creating your own litter cleanup in parks, neighbourhoods, trails and open spaces. You can also initiate a pollinator garden or tree/shrub planting in your community.
