Get Involved with the Integrated Urban Water Plan

The City of Vaughan is developing a new Integrated Urban Water Plan to meet the community’s water needs for current and future generations.

The Integrated Urban Water Plan will be the City’s long-term strategy for providing water, wastewater and stormwater management systems that are safe, reliable, resilient, environmentally sustainable and financially responsible. The plan will support the City’s strategic vision expressed in the Official Plan Review, Vaughan Vision 2050, the City’s Growth Management Strategy and Green Directions Vaughan.

As public engagement is vital to the development and success of this study, the City encouraged citizens to join the conversation – virtually. An online self-guided Public Information Centre was available for interested individuals to learn more about what the Integrated Urban Water Plan is, review and identify challenges and opportunities, view preliminary alternative solutions and share input. The session is now closed – thank you to those who participated.

Feedback collected will help the City understand what is important to citizens and consider these opinions in the study recommendations. Results of the survey will be posted on this webpage, along with additional opportunities to get involved and have a say in the planning process. Check back often for updates.
