The City of Vaughan values the voice of the public and is dedicated to having constructive dialogue with community members.
In March and September 2021, residents were invited to attend virtual Public Information Sessions to learn more about the project, view maps and schedules, and ask questions about the proposed improvements, traffic impacts and access to properties within the area.
Woodbridge Avenue is a commercial and residential area located in the heart of Woodbridge Village. The Woodbridge Avenue corridor and the surrounding area have been rapidly changing in the last decade with high-density development, including residential and mixed-use buildings, resulting in the growth of a larger urbanized area.

Operating the City of Vaughan’s streetlight network represents approximately 20 per cent of the City’s overall energy consumption. In keeping with the Service Excellence Strategic Plan (2018-2022) for Environmental Stewardship and Operational Performance, the City will change approximately 20,000 streetlights from the current high pressure sodium light bulbs to energy efficient light-emitting diode (LED) technology without adding new streetlight poles or making changes to the physical layout of existing poles.
