Dos and don’ts of fireworks for Victoria Day

Another long weekend is around the corner! Victoria Day is one of only two days you can light fireworks in Vaughan without a permit each year. But do you know how to handle them safely? If you plan to use fireworks on Monday, May 19, there are some important safety steps to follow before, during and after you set them off.

Road safety is everyone’s responsibility

Road safety continues to be a leading priority at the City of Vaughan. This is Canada Road Safety Week, and we’re taking this opportunity to remind all road users – including drivers, cyclists and pedestrians – to slow down and pay attention to their surroundings. Remember, we all play a role in keeping our community safe.

 

Here are some ways you can improve road safety: 

A033/25

Relief from the zoning By-Law is being requested to facilitate Site Development Application DA.22.075 (Phase 2) which is comprised of four (4) buildings, two (2) of which are 12-stories in height, and two (2) of which are 28-storeys in height, with a total of 1,026 units.

A028/25

Relief from the Zoning By-law is being requested to permit a cabana and reduced soft landscaping requirements in the rear yard.

A026/25

Relief is being sought under Section 45(2) of the Planning Act to permit the expansion of a legal non-conforming use to permit the expansion of the existing commercial school.
