Vaughan Earns International Recognition for Award-Winning Communications

The City of Vaughan’s Communications, Marketing and Engagement department has received international recognition for its award-winning communications work, earning six honours from the Hermes Creative Awards and three Awards of Distinction from the Communicator Awards.  

These achievements were celebrated with Mayor Steven Del Duca and Members of Council during a special ceremonial presentation at the Sept. 15 Committee of the Whole (1) Meeting.

The Hermes Creative Awards

The Hermes Creative Awards is a leading international competition honouring excellence in traditional and digital creative media. The Communications, Marketing and Engagement department received six honours for a range of communications, engagement and creative projects:

  • “What We Heard” graphics for Strategic Engagement

Communicator Awards 

The department also received three Awards of Distinction from the Communicator Awards for the 2025 Festa d’Italia communications campaign. The Communicator Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications and honour work that exceeds industry standards in quality and achievement.

Together, these international recognitions highlight the Communications, Marketing and Engagement department’s commitment to delivering engaging, impactful and high-quality communications while finding innovative ways to connect with the community.
